Homemade Alpha hydroxy Skin Peel Recipe
Homemade Alpha hydroxy Skin Peel Recipe
Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) skin care products are easy to make in your kitchen because they are made of fruits and vegetables we have readily available. Fruit acids are great for the skin because they loosen the dead skin cells, they slough cells away, leaving the face silky smooth. It is super easy to produce fantastic skin changing results. The same rresults that you would only imagine the most experienced etheticians would achieve. AHA’s are found naturally occurring in fruit and vegetables in your garden, and from the organic produce from our grocery stores
Alpha Hydroxy Skin Peel Recipe
Ingredients: 1 cup fresh pineapple;2 tablespoons honey.
Pineapple contains bromelain. Proteases, natural enzymes that can break up proteins. When applied to the skin in small amounts (i.e. the amounts naturally found in pineapple), these enzymes gently remove dead cells from skin surface producing mild peeling effect. Pineapple contains alpha-hydroxy acids that provide additional benefits. Honey increases moisturizing effect of the treatment.
Prep: Puree pineapple in a blender. Add honey and mix thoroughly.
Usage: Wash your face, and then apply the mixture to your skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for no more than 5 minutes, rinse with cool water. apply olive oil or favorite oil to moisturize.
Initial application keep on skin for only 1-2 minutes to avoid skin irritation and never use if you have sunburn or open wound
Some other ingredients I've used as facials and peels:
1.Malic acid: Apples, vinegar, applesauce, cider.
2.Lactic acid: Buttermilk, yogurt, powdered skim milk, blackberries, tomatoes
3.Tartaric Acid: Grapes, grape juice, wine
4.Citric Acid: Citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, grapefruit, and oranges
One half a teaspoon of liquid per facial. Freshly squeezed juice of one lemon, put the juice onto your fingers massage lightly on your face. Leave on for 10 minutes or less before rinsing. You can also, just cut a grape or strawberry in half-whatever you happen to have in the kitchen and massage it over your skin; let the juice set for a few minutes, and then rinse. Today I used a cherry tomato peel then following it with a honey moisture mask and my skin looks great!:)

Sangria recipe~ I'm planning on making to bring to a friends True Blood viewing Party:) Yumi:)
http://wine.about.com/od/redwines/r/Partysangria.htm
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutesIngredients:
•1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)
•1 Lemon cut into wedges
•1 Orange cut into wedges
•1 Lime cut into wedges
•2 Tbsp sugar
•Splash of orange juice or lemonade
•2 Shots of gin or triple sec (optional)
•1 Cup of raspberries or strawberries (may use thawed or frozen)
•1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
•4 Cups ginger ale
Preparation:
Pour wine into a large pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.
